Iggy Azalea’s derrière
Iggy Azalea won not only her first AMA for Best Rap/Hip Hop Album but her first award ever!!! However Iggy ‘s real win of the night was for best booty, her raunchy performance with J-Lo had us all hot under the collar (seriously Iggy I was just getting over the “Black Widow” video and now this…..all I can say is yowzah).
Charli XCX grunge-tastic performance
Injecting some rock and roll spirit into the AMAs was pop’s new darling Charli XCX, looking like she had been transported onto the set of “Heathers”, the 22 year old sang a mash up of “Boom, Clap” and “Break The Rules” before ending with a bang literally as she trashed the stage. Pop has officially turned goth. I love it!!!
Taylor Swift proves why she is the ultimate girl crush
Taylor Swift brought her array of bunny boiler facial expressions with her as she opened the show with “Blank Space” but it was her off stage antics that made as want to be Swifty’s best friend even more from weeping at BFF Selena Gomez’s beautiful rendition of “The Heart Wants What It Wants” to pulling some serious shapes to Jessie J and Lorde.
Michael Clifford ‘s geeky charm melts fangirl’s hearts everywhere

Controversy has always circled Eminem who is arguably one of rap’s most iconic faces. However Eminem has crossed the line with his new misogynistic material.
While generating buzz last week for his upcoming Shady XV compilation, he dropped new track “Vegas” but it shockingly contained threatening lyrics to old school beauty Lana Del Ray
“Play nice, bitch, I punch Lana Del Rey right/In the face twice like Ray Rice in broad daylight,”
Less than a week later he previewed “Vegas,” a song believed to be from his upcoming album, featuring the sinister intention to rape fellow rapper Iggy Azalea:
“So what’s it gon’ be? Put that shit away Iggy/You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me/Scream!/I love it/’Fore I get lost with the gettin’ off.”
Not only is this a slap in the face to women in general including Eminem’s three daughters, it’s an insult to rap music.
In times where rap can be used to inspire a catalyst for political reform as demonstrated on Plan B’s “Ill Manors” or provide a poetically sweet depth a la Drake, why should we put up with sexist rap’s that should have been left in 2004 with Eminem.
Thankfully the feisty Iggy Azalea isn’t taking it lying low, coming back with the perfect response:
“im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz,” she tweeted on Friday morning.
“its especially akward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!” she added.
Eminem may not be a role model but Iggy certainly is!
*Girl crush alert – contains Charli XCX prepare for major feels.
Charli XCX is preparing for world domination with her sophomore album “Sucker” dropping early next year, a confirmed appearance on SNL and gracing the cover of iconic magazines ranging from Seventeen to Nylon. The 22 year old is definitely girl crush of the year. Here is why:
In the era where pop stars are about as manufactured as barbie dolls it’s refreshing to see an artist in charge of not just her own music but her brand as a whole.
“I’ve always been in control of everything that I’ve done but now so much more than ever. I feel 100 per cent confident in my own vision. I have discussions and ask for opinions but at the end of the day it’s me making the calls and calling the shots. This wasn’t something curated by my record label.”
Not only is Charli XCX producing charismatic pop hits with an alternative twist in her solo material, she is also the creative genius behind Iggy Azelia’s “Fancy” and Iconic Pop’s chart smash “I Love It”.
“Fancy’ is about confidence. Me and Iggy wanted it to be a girl power anthem. I feel like being fancy is just being confident, you know?”
SHE IS AN T.F.I.O.S FAN
Charli XCX didn’t just dominate the pop world over the summer single “Boom, clap” became the sound of the bittersweet love story between two cancer patients (not to mention the best YA novel) The Fault In Our Stars.
“I was approached by the people who were doing the soundtrack and the producers of the movie and they said they really liked the song. I read the book and I watched the film and I was really into it. I thought it was cool and I could see that it was such an important movie to so many kids. So I agreed to have the song in the movie. It was really cool, actually.”
Charli XCX isn’t afraid to show the world who she is and she wants to inspire her fans to be who they want not who society is pressuring them to be.
“When you’re growing up I think there’s this idea that the coolest people are the ones who are really rude and feverish. But I’ve come to realize that isn’t cool. I think the best people are the ones who are just as nice and fun. This is really cheesy, but you only have one life — why spend most of it pretending to be cool?”
